Reading Makes Us Free!

Years 1-6 have taken part in a mass participation, multi-school art project in partnership with the Blue Peter Book Club. The project, named ‘Reading Makes Us Free’ has been designed to promote the Blue Peter Book Club badge scheme and also a love of reading.

The children Joined 30 schools and 10,059 young participants to create birds, writing comments or favourite quotes from books we have read and on their wings. The birds from each school formed a large exhibition at Central Library, Manchester on Saturday 18th May 2024
